Case Study: Prisma, Intelligent Document Digitization

Prisma is an innovative Spanish platform that allows you to digitize documents and transform them into structured information thanks to the power of artificial intelligence. Its objective was clear: to make document management a fast, automated, and error-free process .

Prior to the collaboration, Prisma had an API under development that needed to seamlessly integrate with a web interface that would provide access to all its features: template creation, document uploads and reading, data extraction, and user management.

The main challenge was to build a fully functional web application based on Prisma's own API, which would allow:

• Upload documents and process them using AI.
• Create and manage custom templates for information extraction.
• Visualize structured and statistical results.
• Manage users and access with secure authentication.
  

Additionally, the system needed to integrate with Firebase for authentication, while maintaining centralized account management within the Prisma API, ensuring data consistency and security.

Working closely with the Prisma team, we designed an architecture that would take full advantage of their proprietary API.

• We implemented a modern, responsive interface that allows you to create templates and process documents , while also allowing for the possibility of uploading large volumes of files.
• We developed a hybrid authentication system : Firebase as the identity provider and user synchronization with the Prisma API. Registration forms allow for assigning different user roles.
• We created a specific section to design templates for extracting data from documents.
• We created views to explore and download the extracted data and validate it using Prisma's proprietary self-validation feature. Data digitization occurred asynchronously, so the user had to be notified of the stage of the digitization job submitted.
• The platform had to be multilingual

Additionally, the platform offers access to complementary modules such as Áfrika , the AI assistant for natural language queries, and Grafika , the visual data analysis engine , all integrated into a coherent and fluid experience.

The result is a platform fully connected to the Prisma API , which manages the digitization of documents from start to finish.

The solution was developed using React as the base framework, with TypeScript as the main language.

Thanks to this integration:

• Users can upload files, get results quickly , and view or download them directly.
• Companies can create specific templates for their documents (contracts, invoices, reports, etc.).
• The extracted data can be transformed into visual dashboards or feed automated flows within your processes.

The solution makes it easier for users without technical experience to take advantage of the potential of AI in document management.
